The father of one of our founders was born with poliomyelitis affecting his entire leg, which forced him to spend long periods in hospitals from a very young age.
To relieve the intense pain… he was treated for years with medications based on opioids and morphine.
However… these treatments were not truly effective.
The pain persisted… and they also caused side effects. The only alternative that truly helped him… was cannabis.
The biggest obstacle was legality. In Italy, where we lived… it was prohibited. But when we discovered that in Spain there is a framework of tolerance… we decided to take the step.
That’s how our association was born…
